WKND Worship Collective started in the island town of Islamorada, FL. In early 2023 we embarked on a new endeavor—a vision to gather songwriters with a shared passion for hearing the sounds of heaven and composing fresh music for the Church. After two years of dreaming we shared our vision with a local pastor and he generously offered his church for the gathering. Furthermore, his family selflessly donated their waterfront property to enable us to host a total of twelve individuals. In faith, we pressed forward, seeking divine guidance every step of the way. Invitations were extended to experienced songwriters from Nashville and other parts of the United States. Participants brought their unique expertise and perspectives, resulting in a diverse tapestry of creativity. Our retreat became a haven of inspiration and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We sought to be vessels for the songs He wanted to write. The outcome was nothing short of extraordinary. Now,, three WKND writing retreats have been held and several other WKND gatherings have taken place. What’s next is up to the Lord. These days we dream of releasing the dozens of spirit filled songs we have written to the world. More to come…
